	August 17, 2008 Thanks to those who attended the weekend outing at Kootaga. Many advancement requirements were met and everyone had a lot of fun. Three Scouts are ready for board of reviews and one only needs a couple requirements to move two ranks. Tuesday Aug. 19 meeting we want all boys in FULL uniform at Cawley and Peoples funeral home at 408 Front Street at 7PM. This is in honor of Scott Clay, Kootaga Ranger and one of the early members of Troop 216. If you have questions please call me.
	July 25, 2008 Thanks to those who helped with the Troop service project at St. John's Baptist church. Patrols should be prepared to make their menus and food lists during the August 5 Troop meeting for the campout at Kootaga on August 15-17.
	May 23, 2008 Congratulations to our Warren High School Class of 2008 graduates from Troop 216! James Everson, Ryan Sauer, Tom Treadway, and Corey Wunderlich we wish you all the best.

	May 1, 2008 Switchback trousers are on sale till May 15, 2008! BUY 1, GET ANOTHER 1 FREE! This is only until May 15, 2008 at the Scout office in Parkersburg! Switchbacks are the Scout pants with legs that zip off to make shorts. They are a very nice lightweight pant and have cargo pockets. If you want to know what they look like then take a look at mine next meeting. If you only want one pair then team up with another Scout and you would both get 50% off. 	April 29, 2008 ~~We are in the process of planning to do Rail's and Trails on May 11.~~ Also planning a camping trip to Wolf Creek Scout Reservation which is owned by the Waterford Troop 222, and is located just outside of Waterford. This will be the weekend of July 18-20. They have swimming with water slide, fishing, basketball court, a cabin and much more. Both of these trips are tenative at this time and dates may change. Stay tuned for updates!

	April 24, 2008 Today a past member of our Troop, Robert Sloter, and his family lost their house to a fire this morning. Luckily no one was in the house at the time so no one was hurt. He was a good friend of mine and a good person. Currently he is a recruiter for the National Guard and his wife is serving in Iraq in the Guard and they have a four year old son. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
	April 14, 2008 Great Job on the Spaghetti Dinner. Everything went well and we had a great turnout, maybe the best yet!! Over 160 dinners sold. Thanks to all that helped out. Don't forget the Fish Fry is April 25th. Keep selling tickets and be sure to tell everyone about the auctions we will be holding there. We received a lot of great donations for the auctions. We have two Eagle Court of Honors coming up James Everson, April 27, and JC Testerman, May 10. Check the calendar for more info.
	January 15, 2008 Expect phone calls concerning Winter Camp, Skiing, and Merit Badge Mid-Way in the near future. Also the annual Eagle Recognition Dinner will be February 14. We hope to see all of the 2007 Eagles attend and anyone else is also invited to attend to show your support. If you need more information on Merit Badge Mid-Way feel free to contact me or setup your account in the Message Forums and I will have a copy of the info in there. Any other information you need please also contact me or one of the other adult leaders. Some things are located on the Calendar page of this site or in the Forums.
